Week #13
Week #12
We’re about to find out who was voted off Survivor tonight when the Redemption Island castaways make a house of cards to avoid elimination and the remaining six players take on one heck of an obstacle course slash balancing act. That’s all before Kasama heads to what’s reportedly an intense Tribal Council.
Tonight’s show kicks off with Kasama arriving back at camp and Hayden putting his new vote-out-Tyson plan in to effect by announcing just that. He knows his game is in danger and the Vets are calling the shots, but with the numbers tied this will be tricky.
Over at the Redemption Island camp Caleb arrives to join Tina and Laura. They’re preparing to head to the arena where one of the three will be sent home. This won’t be a quick challenge either as the players must stack wooden cards to create the tallest structure the fastest.
Caleb, Tina, and Laura take their spots at Redemption Island and kick off the “House of Cards” challenge. They’ll have to build a stack eight feet tall using small wooden cards. Things get off to a very rough start as they continue to drop over and over.
Laura takes a HUGE lead and is about twice as far along as Tina and Caleb. She’s up to the very top when cards start falling but she’s able to recover and wins with a healthy lead over the others.
At this point neither Tina or Caleb look like they’ll reach 8 feet before the time runs out so the win will have to go to whichever one has the tallest stack when time runs out. Caleb is pulling away, but it’s still very close.
Ohhhh. Caleb. He’s nearly to the end when his entire stack falls. Everything. It’s all gone. Tina stops building and waits out the clock. Ouch. Caleb is eliminated from Survivor Blood Vs Water. Tina and Laura stay alive. Laura gets to hand out the clue to Ciera who decides to keep it this time.
Back at camp Ciera shares her clue with Tyson, Gervase, and Monica. The Idol is hidden somewhere in a tree near their water. Soon everyone is looking including Hayden and Katie. Who will find it first? No surprise. It’s Tyson. He decides to keep it a secret again and heads off to take a nap.
Hayden works on Gervase and while he might give Hayden lip service, we know Gervase isn’t flipping.
Immunity is up for grabs. Today’s challenge is called “Ram-Ball On” and requires the players to balance a cue ball on a stick and work it across an obstacle course without dropping the ball. Once they get to the other side they’ll throw bags on pedestals to knock off blocks. First to finish wins Immunity and the luxury of ice cream.
Monica is leading the challenge with Tyson not far behind her. Sure enough both are through and on to the second phase. The rest are way behind.
It’s still just Gervase and Monica throwing bags. Gervase has just one last piece left to knock down but keeps missing. Tyson shows up to start throwing as Monica closes in.
The race is tight between all the Vets when Gervase finally gets that last one and wins Immunity. Jeff lets Gervase pick two players to join him for the ice cream and he picks Monica then Tyson, of course.
The castaways prepare for Tribal Council and there’s a lot of time left in tonight’s show. This looks promising.
The choice is clear for Ciera. Vote with the Vets and stay safe. Tonight. Vote with the Newbies and they’ll tie and head to a rock-draw tie-breaker. Did Hayden sway Ciera to take that gamble?
Jeff offers a chance for the Hidden Immunity Idol. Tyson doesn’t flinch. Jeff reveals the votes: Hayden, Hayden, Monica, Monica, Hayden, & Monica.
It’s a tie so neither Monica nor Hayden can vote, but the others can only vote for one of those two choices.
Jeff reveals the votes, again: Monica, Hayden, Monica, & Hayden.
Deadlock. The rules state the four voters must either agree on a name or they’ll draw rocks. Ciera protests that she knows she’s fourth with the Vets so they all agree to draw rocks.
White rock goes. Black rock stays.
The big loser is… Katie has the white rock. She’s knocked out and heads to Redemption Island.
Craziness! Jeff says that’s only the second time in 27 seasons that they’ve gone to a rock draw. It was a big move for Ciera, but in the end it wasn’t worth it. The Vets retain control and Tyson still holds the Immunity Idol heading in to next week’s episode.
Points:
Tyson gets 5 points for finding idol
Laura M get 3 points for winning on immunity island
Gervase Wins immunity 3 points
All but Caleb get 1 point for surviving the week

Week #11
Here we go for tonight’s Thanksgiving Survivor 2013 episode. We’re down to seven castaways left which means one more heads to Jury and another heads to Redemption Island. Let’s find out who gets cut!
Back at the Kasama camp we’ll get the fallout from the latest vote-out but with even Ciera voting out her own mother there shouldn’t be any animosity floating around. That also means the final pair on Survivor Blood Vs Water has been split. Of course Laura M could get back in the game yet again so maybe there’s a chance for a reunion. Well, unless Ciera is the next to follow…
Over at Redemption Island Laura arrives and joins Tina and Vytas. They’ll prepare for tonight’s RI challenge and from the preview clip it looks like Tina could be in trouble here.
Jeff brings in the players to the Redemption Island arena. The players race to retrieve four cubes from a netted tunnel. Vytas and Laura are making quick work of the challenge while Tina lags behind.
Vytas and Laura are neck and neck as they begin to work on the puzzle portion. They must arrange the cubes so there are no repeating colors on any one side. Tina has now caught up but Laura finishes her puzzle leaving Vytas to play against Tina.
Wow. Laura is giving Tina precise instructions on how to arrange her cubes. That’s tough on Vytas! It’s very close but Tina pulls it out just a second ahead of Vytas. Sooo close. Vytas refuses a hug from Laura after her efforts against him.
Laura gives her clue to Ciera, of course, but Ciera decides to burn it. Considering the Hidden Immunity Idol has been gone for awhile it’s no big deal, but Ciera doesn’t know that!
Back at the camp the Newbies are starting to come together and figure out a plan to take control and turn on Tyson. It seems like such a smart plan I’m waiting for it to fall apart!
Sure enough, it falls apart right away. Caleb, Hayden, and Katie are on board, but Ciera is not. Ciera says she’s in on the plan but then runs to Tyson and spills the beans. Dumb, dumb, dumb. *Shakes fist in the air.* Ciera could have been 1 of 4 Newbies sticking together, instead she’s going for being 1 of 4 with the other 3 being Vets. Gee, I wonder who they’ll cut first?
The rest of the Newbies catch on to Ciera’s betrayal and strongly suspect the vote will not go their way after all. Immunity is important as always.
Tonight’s challenge is “Wrist Assured.” They’ll hold on to a respectively weighed bucket (25% of their body weight) until they can’t keep a hold on it and the bucket drops. Last person standing wins immunity. Oh, but there’s a twist. Jeff tempts them with a buffet of bbq foods to enjoy if they sit out.
Castaways not competing: Tyson, Gervase, and Ciera. The rest will compete. Craziness.
The sane players are holding on strong though Katie’s bucket starts to slip awhile. Remember that in the Dream Team test run a smaller woman won out over the bigger guys.
Oops. Katie’s bucket drops and she’s out. Meanwhile Jeff is having fun egging on the eaters while the competitors suffer. Hayden complains that his hands are hurting as his bucket drops half way down, but he soon pulls his back to the top.
Now Caleb is out after he says that he can’t hold on anymore. That means it’s just Hayden and Monica left in the game. Hayden has yet to win any individual comps while Monica has two under her belt. Hayden keeps letting his bucket slip but tries to hold on.
That’s it. Hayden’s bucket drops. Monica wins Immunity yet again. Wow. She’s a comp beast! Someone is about to go to Redemption Island, but it won’t be Monica!
Now back to camp Hayden and Caleb decide they need to act and get back with Tyson. They say it was Ciera trying to get them against each other and Tyson agrees. Now Tyson doesn’t know who to trust, but he is worried about both sides. Ciera’s big mistake could become an even bigger mistake real soon!
Kasama heads to Tribal Council. This should be good! Tyson was talking about using his Hidden Immunity Idol as a back up plan. The tribe does their chat and things don’t look good for Ciera. Jeff tallies the votes and sure enough, Tyson decides to play his Immunity Idol. Any votes cast against Tyson will not count.
The votes: Ciera, Caleb, Ciera, Ciera, Caleb, Caleb, … oh it’s a tie so far … Caleb!
Points:
Laura M get 3 p[oints for winning challenge
Monica wins immunity, 3 points
All but Vytas get 1 point for surviving

Week #10
Survivor 2013 – Episode 10 – Redemption Island Challenge:
Tina joined Aras and Vytas in the first duel of the second round of Redemption Island battles. The players had to use a grappling hook to retrieve three bags for no apparent reason as they only needed one ball for the next part. Once they had all three bags they used one ball to navigate a maze and find the center.
Tina took an early lead in both the bag collecting and maze solving. She was just about to lock it down when her ball fell through and opened an opportunity for the brothers to stay together. Vytas secured the win and the race came down to Tina and Aras. Aras was eliminated and headed off to start the Jury.
Vytas selected Katie to receive the clue to the hidden immunity idol that Tyson already found. Katie kept the clue.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 10 – Immunity Challenge:
This week’s Immunity Challenge was simple: don’t let go. Castaways had to hang back over the edge of a pier while holding on to a rope. Every few minutes they’d have to move back on the rope to the next knot. This one looked destined for a woman to win from our first glance.
Hayden dropped immediately and was soon followed by a few more guys. Ciera is the first girl to drop. The race comes down to Laura, Tyson, and Monica then Laura drops. Just as Monica starts to struggle we see Tyson fall. Monica wins Immunity for the second time this season.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 10 – Tribal Council:
Heading in to the vote we knew Tyson was aiming for Laura, but Ciera was hard at work to shift that target to Katie. It was a valiant effort that involved tricking Katie to believe Ciera had the Hidden Immunity Idol to confirm that Katie didn’t find it with her clue (Tyson has it).
When the votes were revealed Ciera’s efforts fell short and Laura was once again sent to Redemption Island. She now has a chance at a third life in the game. See, this is why I don’t like Redemption Island. Three chances in one season? Come on.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 11 – Next Time On:
Has Tyson’s reign come to an end? The newbies vow to turn on him but will he see it coming and use his Idol? We’ll find out next week on Survivor Blood Vs Water.
Points
Vytas gets 3 points for winning on redemption
Monica gets 3 points for winning challenge
All but Aras get 1 point for lasting until Week #11

Week #9
The tribes have merged and so tonight on Survivor 2013 the new Kasama tribe will continue their march toward the season finale but this week will be a double elimination episode.
First thing is to get everyone caught up so we’ll see Aras heading off to Redemption Island after his blindside led by Tyson, Gervase, and Monica. He’ll arrive there alone, but that won’t last for long. Vytas is now left behind in the tribe from his brother and is sure to want revenge though he might not want to go shouting the obvious.
Back at the campsite Vytas congratulates the tribe for the blindside. He’s sorry Aras was targeted, but says as a fan he appreciates the move they made. After that Tina goes after Tyson and Monica for betraying them, but Tyson shuts her down. Did Tina damage her game right there?
It’s time to find out which castaways can withstand the “Pesky Palate” food challenge and which two castaways are voted off Survivor tonight to join Aras in the renewal of Redemption Island.
Immunity Challenge – Pesky Palate:
Round 1 – 40 mealworms: Tyson, Monica, & Vytas move on – Laura & Katie eliminated
Round 2 – 40 mealworms: Hayden, Gervase, & Caleb move on – Tina & Ciera eliminated
Round 3 – 3oz pig intestines: Monica & Gervase move – Tyson, Caleb, Hayden, & Vytas eliminated
Round 4 – 2 grubs: Monica wins! So close, so close, Gervase!
Monica wins Immunity! It’s her first individual immunity win.
Ahead of tonight’s first Tribal Council the group’s plan is to split the votes 4-3 against Vytas and Katie. Vytas asks Hayden to be straight with him and he learns it’ll either be him or Katie. Vytas pleads to flip the votes 4-3 over Katie instead of him. Let’s see where this goes.
Tribal Council time. Vytas is making waves and going after Monica and the move to flip on Aras last week.
Jeff reveals the votes: Vytas, Katie, Tyson, Vytas, Vytas, Vytas, & Vytas. That’s 5, that’s enough. Vytas was voted off Survivor tonight. He heads to Redemption Island.
Immunity Challenge #2:
It’s time for the second Immunity Challenge of the night! Players have to balance a sword on a shield while slowly stacking coins on the sword’s hilt. If their coins fall then they are out. Well, at least they don’t have to eat anything!
Monica is the first to drop a single coin and she is out. Ciera is out moments later. The challenge continues without them. Tina drops a coin as she goes to place it. She is out and leaves six players behind.
Gervase loses his coin balance soon followed by Laura. Just four remain and this looks tough! Caleb soon drops leaving just Katie, Hayden, and Tyson.
In one final coin setting Tyson drops and Hayden does so as well. Katie wins immunity!
Back at camp Tina is desperate to find the Hidden Immunity Idol (Tyson already found it & moved it) but the guys are sticking to her so she can’t search. Now the rest of the tribe has to decide what to do with their votes. Do they stick to voting out Tina or has Monica caused enough problems to become a target? Nahhh, it’ll be Tina.
Jeff prepares to reveal the votes, offers a chance for the Idol, and Tina pretends to pull one out.
Votes: Monica, Tina, Tyson, Tina, Tina, Tina, & Tina. That’s five and that’s enough. Tina was voted out of Survivor Blood Vs Water tonight. She heads to Redemption Island.
Points:
Monica gets 3 points for winning challenge
Katie gets 3 points for winning challenge
While 2 more people went to redemption, no one left the game so all players get 1 point for surviving.

Week#8
Jeff tells John and the Lauras that what they’ve done so far doesn’t matter. It’s all about what they do right now in this challenge and the winner will re-enter the game.
The challenge is simple: hang on. Last player still hanging on their telephone pole will win the duel and get back in the game. Laura B immediately starts slipping and drops down a ring. After just 20 mins they look like they’re struggling. John starts to slide and kicks off his shoes to help. Uh oh, that sounds like a bad idea!
Laura B has found her comfort spot. Laura M has not moved at all. Oops! There goes John. He slides to the bottom and is out. What did I say? Way too heavy. This sort of thing is tilted toward a smaller framed woman.
Laura B is just about to the very bottom while the other Laura hasn’t budged. This shouldn’t take too much longer. Yep, that’s it. Laura B drops and that leaves just Laura M. She’ll return to the game and join the new merged tribe, Kasama.
Jeff says goodbye to Laura B and John before announcing the tribe merge. Next up is the Immunity Idol clue that Laura won in the duel. She can give it to herself, says Jeff, but guess what she does with it? Yep. Straight in to the fire.
Back at the new tribe’s camp Ciera pulls Laura aside and lets her know there’s an alliance she’s in, but to play it cool and go with the plan to eliminate Aras. Meanwhile you’ve got Aras and Vytas planning their path to the Final 2.
Oh hey, here’s something we haven’t discussed much this season. The Hidden Immunity Idol! Tyson decides it’s time to use the clues his tribe revealed after the Tribe Shuffle. Sure enough he digs it out of the tree and has secured his safety if he uses it right.
The challenge is a memory game where Jeff will show them a series of pictures and then they have to use their cube (see the image above) to replay the series.
Round 1: Everyone is safe.
Round 2: Monica is out.
Round 3: Caleb and Katie are out.
Round 4: Tyson and Tina are out.
Round 5: Hayden is out.
Round 6: Everyone is safe.
– new series of items –
Round 7: Everyone is safe.
Round 8: Laura is out.
Round 9: Ciera is out.
Round 10: Everyone is safe.
Round 11: Gervase is out.
– only Vytas and Aras remain –
Round 12: Everyone is safe.
Round 13: Aras is out! Vytas wins!
Congratulations to Vytas. He’s safe at tonight’s vote and he got to beat out his brother.
Heading in to Tribal Council things are a mess. Aras is floating the idea of going after Ciera. Meanwhile, Ciera gives Laura the plan who gives her a different plan in return involving targeting Tina! Then you’ve got Gervase listing off several different plans himself. It’s nuts. I figured Aras would go next, but with this crew I’m not so sure anymore!
Jeff readies to reveal the votes. No one plays an Idol. Votes: Laura, Laura, Ciera, Ciera, Aras, Aras, Aras, Aras, Aras. Wow. They pulled it off.
Aras was voted off Survivor tonight! But wait, what’s this? Jeff tells Aras he has a chance to get back in the game. Redemption Island isn’t done!!!!
Points
Laura Gets 3 points for winning Redemption Challenge
Tyson gets 5 points for finding idol
Vytas gets 3 points for winning challenge
All But Laura B and John get 1 point for surviving

We’ve got your quick run down of Survivor results so you can find out who got voted off last night in case you missed the episode. There were lots of fun twists and turns along the way so this one is worth going back and watching at least the big segments.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 7 – Redemption Island:
Kat crumbles when she sees Hayden and Jeff puts him on the spot to swap places with her. Hayden definitely doesn’t want to but Kat keeps pleading that she’d switch. Finally Hayden convinces her that’s a terrible idea (it is) and the competition moves on.
John dominates that challenge where they have to untie a machete, hack a rope, and then build a puzzle. Kat flails around after squandering a solid second place and is knocked out when Laura M completes her puzzle. Kat is eliminated from Survivor.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 7 – Immunity Challenge:
Tadhana was riding their high of back to back wins so the pressure was on in this challenge. Both tribes played five castaways so Tadhana had Ciera sit out. The race was fairly even throughout as both teams had to escape an initial wire trap, navigate an obstacle course, and then build bolos to toss as a wooden rack.
There were many reductions from the original challenge that also had the players chained at the arms and then throwing six, not three, bolos to secure a win. I guess the Survivor challenge team decided it was just too much for this crew.
The race came down to Tyson and Tina throwing the balls and chains at their targets. Both needed just one more hit when Tyson landed his for the win. Tadhana took Immunity and a big picnic back to their camp. Galang prepared for Tribal Council.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 7 – Tribal Council:
Laura B took it upon herself to openly warn Vytas that he’d be voted out that night. The other ladies were shocked that she’d do this without discussing it first so you can guess what happened next.
When Jeff revealed the votes there was just one against Vytas from Laura and then the rest were against Laura. Laura B was voted out of Galang and sent to Redemption Island.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 8 – Next Time On:
We’ve finally made it! Tribe Merge! The two tribes will come together next week which also means it’s the end of Redemption Island. Thank goodness! That last RI challenge will be an endurance competition where the castaways will have to hold on to a pole for as long as they can. Either John, Laura M, or Laura B will return to the game.
Points:
John gets 3 point for winning challenge
Tadhana gets 1 point each for winning challenge
All but Kat get 1 point for surviving the week

Week #6
Survivor 2013 – Episode 6 – Redemption Island:
Laura M arrives as the latest castaway to be voted off a tribe. She immediately rejects the idea of swapping spots with her daughter, Ciera. I bet John and Brad wish she
had!
Laura demolishes the guys as she tears through the challenge which required players to recover bags of pieces from a balance beam and then put the pieces in numerical order. Yes, the puzzle this week was counting. Sigh.
Laura wins and John comes in second. That means Brad Culpepper is out of the game and gone from Survivor.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 6 – Tribe Shuffle:
Instead of a merge the castaways get a tribe swap. Each player picked a bamboo canister with a new buff inside which determined if they’d be on Galang or Tadhana.
Galang tribe now includes: Monica, Tina, Katie, Laura B, Vytas, and Kat.
Tadhana tribe now includes: Ciera, Aras, Hayden, Caleb, Gervase, and Tyson.
Only Tina and Katie were re-united, though most pairs have already been broken through Redemption Island. Aras and Vytas will continue to play apart as would Kat and Hayden.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 6 – Immunity Challenge:
The new tribes look very unevenly matched with only one guy on Galang and only one girl on Tadhana. Despite a potential advantage things were very close.
Tina and Laura B managed to forget to bring back their fish trap in the first pass which let Tadhana lap them in the water portion of the contest. Then at the puzzle phase
Galang twice finished their puzzle and twice had it wrong. Tadhana barely pulled out the win and avoided Tribal Council.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 6 – Tribal Council:
As Galang prepared for Tribal we saw Kat let paranoia get the better of her as she decided to turn on Monica and her all-girls alliance. Kat floated the idea of voting off
Monica over to Tina who immediately told Monica. Now it became a question of Vytas or Kat.
When Jeff revealed the votes there were four against Kat and one against Vytas. Kat heads off to Redemption Island to compete against John and Laura next week in the arena.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 7 – Next time on Survivor:
We’re getting another round of “we must get rid of Aras” in the weekly teaser promo. Could this be the week it happens? We’ll find out next time on Survivor.
Points:
Laura M gets 3 points for winning on Redemption
Tadhana wins immunity challenge (Ciera, Aras, Hayden, Caleb, Gervase, and Tyson) get 1 point
All but Brad get 1 point for surviving

Week #5
Survivor 2013 – Episode 5 – Redemption Island:
Brad arrives and immediately pleads for mercy from John and Candice. He’s actually very nice and apologetic about the situation, but Candice isn’t having anything to do with it.
At the competition Brad pulls out an upset and secures his safety after coming in second place behind John. That means Candice is last and eliminated from Survivor. She heads off in to the jungle after tossing her buff in the fire.
John again gives the clue to Monica and again Brad tells her to burn it. She does.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 5 – Immunity Challenge:
Tadhana finally did it and it came down to Big Brother’s Hayden Moss for the winning point. Castaways slid down a water slide, grabbed a ring, and had to toss and
land it on a post. Pretty simple, right? Galang struggled and Tadhana capitalized on the opportunity.
Tadhana won Immunity for the first time all season and even opted for the luxury of steaks and a wok over fishing gear to keep themselves fed for the rest of their time. Yeah, I’d probably pick the steaks too.
Survivor 2013 – Episode 5 – Tribal Council:
Galang has to make their first elimination choice of the season. The easy answer is Laura B, Rupert’s wife, but because Survivor is never easy they consider the other Laura instead.
Sure enough, when Jeff reveals the votes it’s Laura M who was voted off Galang and heads to Redemption Island. There’s some sort of strange reasoning that she’ll be able to beat Brad at the next arena challenge. We’ll have to wait and see.
POINTS:
Everyone except Candice gets a point for surviving
John Get 3 points for winning at Redemtion island
All members of Tadhana get 1 point for winning challenge

Week #4
Survivor 2013 – Week 4 – Redemption Island:
John joined Candice and Marissa this week in the three-way duel for survival. There was of course the obligatory “F U, Brad Culpepper” moment thanks to Candice this
time. The voted-out castaways had to untangle a rope to release a puzzle and then put it together. John made quick work of the challenge and won by a longshot. Marissa struggled with the puzzle portion and lost to Candice. Marissa was eliminated from Survivor.
John had the option to give a Hidden Immunity Idol clue to anyone he wanted. Candice immediately suggested Monica, Brad’s wife. Brad in turn immediately told Monica to burn it in the fire without reading it which she did. No one received this week’s clue.
Survivor 2013 – Week 4 – Immunity Challenge:
Tina and Kat sit out for Galang and keep Tyson, the one armed man, in the challenge. Tribes have to paddle out, retrieve floating crates, and bring them back. From there they build a staircase, retrieve a key from a puzzle, and unlock their tribe’s flag to win immunity. Tadhana takes a lead in collecting crates but falls behind in the stairs making and puzzle assemble. For the fourth straight week Galang takes the win and Tadhana heads to Tribal Council.
Survivor 2013 – Week 4 – Tribal Council:
Brad wants to go after Caleb. Or does he want Ciera gone? The tribe is confused and scared so when Caleb announces his plan to write down Brad’s name the gears start
turning. First round of voting delivers a tie against Brad and Ciera. With those two out of the voting mix Tadhana takes another swing at it. This time Brad Culpepper loses 3-1 and is voted off to Redemption Island.
Next week we’ll see if John and Candice can stay together and beat out their new camp-mate, Brad at Redemption Island.
Points:
Marissa lost on redemption island and is out of the game
John won on redemption island and gets 3 point
Returning players get 1 point each for winning challenge
All but Marissa get 1 point each for remaining in the game
Week #3, 10/2/2013
Another week, another flop for the Tadhana tribe on Survivor 2013. As their tribe continues to lose players week after week things just don’t look good for them going in to the next Immunity Challenge.
Here’s a quick rundown of how things went last night on Survivor for the Redemption Island challenge, Immunity Challenge, and Tribal Council vote.
At Redemption Island Tyson declined to swap places with Rachel so she faced off against Candice and Marissa. Candice won and gave the Hidden Immunity Idol clue to her husband John. The challenge was very close between Marissa and Rachel, but Marissa pulled off the win. Rachel was eliminated from Survivor.
The Immunity Challenge pitted tribe against tribe in one on one sumo style competitions. It was a close race and came down to Ciera and her mother, Laura. Ciera lost. Neither Ciera or Katie could be their own mother when they faced off. That means Galang wins Immunity again while Tadhana heads off to Tribal Council.
At Tribal Council a blindside is put in to action after Brad decides he needs to fear John ahead of his potential reunion with Candice. While John expects Ciera to go it turns out he’s the lamb that night. John is voted off Survivor and heads to Redemption Island.
Along the way tonight we lost another castaway when Colton quit the game. Good riddance. He wasted a spot on the roster that many other players would have loved to have had for themselves.
Next week Tadhana will be down another player as they head to the next challenge and this time it’ll be one of their strongest.
Points:
Rachel lost on redemption island and is out of the game
Colton quit the game (for a second time) and is out of the game
Candice won on redemption island and gets 3 point
Returning players get 1 point each for winning challenge
All but Rachel & Colton get 1 point each for remaining in the game

Week #1, 9/19/2013
Each of the ten couples will be dropped off in the jungle and head out for a night’s rest and from the footage we saw in the preview it does not look pretty. The next morning the pairs are picked back up and brought together for some surprising news: they will not be playing as a couple.
The pairs are separated in to newbie vs veteran tribes and one person from each set is immediately voted out. Ouch! They’ll head to Redemption Island and face tonight’s voted-off castaway for a three-person battle for their Survivor life!
Are you ready? Let’s see where tonight’s premiere show takes us!
Jeff gathers the castaways on the beach the next morning and after Jeff reveals the news there are hugs all around. Most are nervous about the change, but there are a few excited to play against their loved ones.
Tribal names are revealed. Veterans’ tribe is orange and named Galang. Newbies’ tribe is red and named Tadhana.
The votes are openly revealed. Newbie tribe votes are: Laura, Laura, Laura, Marissa, Laura, Laura. That’s it. Laura is voted out.
Vet tribe votes: Laura, Laura, Candice, Candice, Candice, Laura, Candice, Gervase, Candice. That’s it. Candice is voted out.
Jeff reveals that they are voted out of their tribes, but not voted out of the game. The castaways are told about the return of Redemption Island where they’ll compete to stay in the game.
Now Jeff announces their loved ones can swap spots at Redemption Island. Rupert immediately comes forward. Jeff stops him and explains that she’ll return to his tribe. Tina pleads for Rupert not to do it. Rupert goes ahead and does it anyway. Tina reveals in a side talk that she’s upset because they were relying on his strengths.
Candice and her husband John talk about the same move but decide against it. John will stay with his newbie tribe.
Castaways arrive at their camps and there’s immediate resentment at Laura who has swapped places with her husband Rupert. She’ll have to learn all the skills that he would have brought with him after several seasons on the beach.
Monica confronts Colton about his past behavior on their season of “One World.” He promises to do right by her and she promises to forgive his
history.
Over at the Tadhana camp their getting shelter set up. It’s obviously going a little less smooth, but their doing alright. What they don’t have is fire.
Brad starts working on a five guys alliance with John, Caleb, Hayden, and Aras. Everyone but Caleb seem excited about the idea, but Caleb still pretends to be excited and says he’ll go along with it for now.
The story jumps over to Redemption Island where Candice and Rupert are killing time working on some coconuts. Candice is taking out some anger issues chopping the coconuts while Rupert sleeps and relaxing. His laziness is driving her crazy, but Rupert explains that he is conserving his energy while she burns through hers. Sounds like a good plan, but will it work?
Ah, it’s tree-mail time. Each tribe receives their message and they gather around to hear what’s ahead. Sounds like it’s time for the Blue Lagoon Bustle comp that we watched earlier in the day. Everyone gets excited for the chance to compete against their loved ones.
Immunity is up for grabs. Castaways will swim out through an obstacle course, bring back a chest on a boat, assemble a puzzle, and use that to raise their flag. First tribe to finish avoids Tribal Council.
Tadhana (newbies) take a strong lead as the vets struggle. Why the vets sent Gervase out for this portion is behind me. They continue to support him as they wait on him for the next step. Now Aras is having to help pull Gervase to the boat. Sheesh.
Things even out as they head back to the beach on their boats, but now the vets can’t manage to go in a straight line. The newbies have a healthy lead, but can they keep it going? Back on the boat Colton is screaming at Kat that she needs to paddle or he’ll hit her with his. Is the old Colton back already?
Both tribes are struggling through their puzzle to build a wheel, but the vets are closing the gap and start to take the lead. The vets move on to the second bag of pieces and then the third as the newbies work on the first bag. Jeff calls it an “absolute collapse.” Yep. it’s pretty bad.
Galang wins Immunity! They also take back the flint which they really didn’t need nearly as much as the newbies do. It’ll be another night without fire back
there.
It’s time for Tadhana to prepare for Tribal Council as one of their castaways is about to be voted out and off to Redemption Island. The guys come together and decide that one of the puzzle builder girls has to be the one to go tonight. Things don’t look good for Marissa as many of the Tadhana tribe are annoyed with Gervase over-the-top celebration when Galang beat them. Uh oh, Marissa.
Time for some Tribal Council goodness. The newbies break the seal on the new set up as the first to visit Jeff with their torches. As the talk starts up it becomes obvious where sights are being aimed. Marissa is taking heat from the guys again based on Gervase’s behavior. Katie agrees that one of the puzzle builders will take the fall for the loss.
It’s time to vote. Jeff reveals the results: Katie, Marissa, Marissa, Marissa, Marissa, and Marissa. That’s enough votes. Marissa is voted off Survivor tonight. She gives a sad look over her should as Jeff snuffs her torch. He tells her she has a chance to get back in the game and she heads out in to the darkness.
Points
Galang players get 1 point each for winning immunity
Rupert & Candice do not as they didnt participate in the challenge
